So, any guesses on some other possible Profs?
I'd like to see another Spell Caster, but it seems those are already covered...
unless you have a Summoner who can summon creatures to fight for you (on timer like Necro minions), but don't need corpses. Still, they would need more powers, maybe like Polymorph self.
Hmm, maybe a Druid isn't that far off after all....

Well acording to that picture(just the look) why would they have throwing daggers? I would speculate a faster ranged attack but a closer range...
I would like to see a thrown dagger put a monster to sleep so if case he/she is within the argo bubble he/she doesnt set it off...
I would personlly like a debuffing side to this profession. if it isnt already implemented... Warriors need aderniline and multiple weapon attack to pull off most of the conditions, but a throwing dagger with
Poison
thrown at a knee cap(cripple)
thrown at the head(dazed)
thrown in a special way(bleeding)
its fesable and practicle, kinda fits the theme, I would assume that it wouldnt be high dmg output tho...(like the ranger intrupts)

How would you balance it? If a Warrior was using two sword (Lets say short swords) and was able to land DOUBLE the number of hits they can now, it would be over kill.
Sure the lose the benefits of an offhand armor from sheild... but 16 armor isn't that great anyhow... plus they able able to add mods to the two weapons of compensate for it.
I just think dual-wielding is a pointless idea which would be unbalanced. Unless only give a MINOR damage advantage... and I mean minor.
Next your have Rangers using Cross-bows

I see your point, but I never wanted dual-wielding for more power. The game is well-balanced as it is, in my opinion, and I don't seek a major damage/speed advantage. I want dual-wielding because it's the coolest way of fighting, as opposed to shield'n'sword fighting. Shields are ok but it sorta makes my character look a little... I don't know, low-brow. Dual-wielding looks, to me, a little more advanced and apart from that, my RP character has always be dual-wielding and my in-game character is a reflection of my RP character.
So there. I would like dual-wielding for the style and coolness factor; not for power. Not that I want it to be useless, but it doesn't have to be a major hack'n'slash style.

A druid-like character would be good, imo. Shape-shifting abilities, healing powers that are as energy efficient as those of a monk (but perhaps more limited in some ways, letting the monk stay on as the best healing character), nature based attack spells, etc. The only problem I see with this is that the ranger already has a lot of the skills that would be fitting for a druid (inclusing 'druid' armour).
I would also love a spear/lance wielding character that would make positioning more important in the game. Like being able to assume defensive stances (like 'setting' a spear) that will knock over wars that attempt to rush by and cause some serious damage, together with slow but powerful short range spear throwing attacks. The spearman is a key tactical unit in militairy history after all. And we need a bit more diversity when it comes to melee tactics.

Well, if this goes as I expect (going down other role playing games), I would anticipate that the final class would be something along the lines of a druid or a bard. Yes, not terribly exciting, but would have many nature or song-based spells. A bit weaker than the other casters, but more spell-based than the ranger.
I personally would like to see something along the lines of a summoner (or even a demonist), which allows creatures to be summoned to fight for the caster on a temporary basis. It may even allow for the charming of other enemy creatures temporarily to fight for the party.

Perhaps our "omglolonowayassasinsgheylolocopppiee" buddies would like to suggest an original class of their own.
Edit:
Maybe when reasons other than "OMG ITZ BIN DUN ALREDI LOLOL" come up, sensible people will complain. But apart from that, please. Whine to someone who cares.

Ok, I'm gonna say it... I LOVE assassin/thief/rogue type professions in PvE games. Got to admit though, I'm scratching my head as to how this would work in PvP...

they could.. If they are going to dual weild. DO it like FFXI did it. make it so yes each weapon has its own attack power and yes cause its smaller attacks faster.. but a ninja in ffxi at lvl 10 has weapons that do 9 dmg each so effectively 18 pure dual hit. and a warrior at lvl 10 has a single sword that does 16. so yes they are a bit more powerful. but.... they also incorperate teh fact that each hand has a weapon.. therefor you wont suceed in hitting with both hands every time.. its a way to make it work.. without over/under powering eaither of teh classes. I hope that made sense.. im a bit sleepy

Kami's Spirit creatures with astral heal/harm capabilities. ^_^ weilding of ghost as in noncorporeal weapons that do spiritual dmg.. used souly as a back up class say with a warrior... each hit gives a - health pip or - energy pip. and healing as in not heal but Staunch bleed as in removing negative health and energy pips from allys

a counter to the assassian may possibly be a samurai. they have been aroundsince BC times. also i do believe the ninja, a commen sterotype for an assassin, wasnt recored until 645 AD. possibly that could be wrong. as ninja are suppose to be stealthy. The samurai are still around, they were nto killed off until modern weapons were introduced to japan. it was 1876 ad when the emperor of japan banned the wearing of of swords in public. this gave the samurai no proffesions anymore. the medieval times lasted from around 600 AD to 1600 AD. the ninja flurished during the time of 794-1192 AD. also the samurai followed a code, the Bushido. ninjas followed no such code. so the samurai was afriad of the ninja since the ninja would sneak up on the samurai and slice his throat. this was able due to the art of stealth known as Nonuse. while the ninja and the samurai both WERE around during the medieval times they were on the otherside of Eurasia. while the medieval times played out mostly in western europe, the samurai and ninja were in china and japan and eastern asia.
note i found all this info on the internet. u can cross check me if you want but i do believe all this information is accurate. and srry if this bored u but im quite interested in history
hope this has been somewhat helpful to telling u that yes ninja were prestent in medieval times.

for seeing how a ninja and a samurai work in an online game check out the descriptions of samurai and ninja on allakhazam.com in the FFXI forums.
Samurai were heavy handed... while ninja were graceful.. teh samurai swords were thick heavy and made to cleave.. ninja's used a far lighter thiner set of weapons. they were meant to hit quickly.. though they would not cleave of an arm... they could bleed soem one out in the matter of a minute or so

I remember in the very beginning of the beta there was 6 classes: Warrior, Ranger, Mesmer, Elementalist, Monk, and Stealth(which didn't work but was an option, had like a coming soon text next to it)
It was taken off the list after a few beta updates im not sure if anyone else noticed this if they played the beta, that just stuck in my head because I like assassin's there just so cool .

so u could have the fleat ninja and the samurai. while the ninja would be stealthy the samurai could be one to inflict bleeding and deep wounds. theres unlimited possiblities w/ those 2.
o and my last post was just to say they were around during medieval times not to point out what weapons they used.

srry i read it in passing.. but ya i def agree so maybe anet will do that? and i think they need to maybe restrict certain types of weapons to certain classes if it is not yur secondary. ie a w/r should no weild a staff or rod.
